SELLA BASMATI RICE / GOLDEN SELLA BASMATI RICE

Sella Basmati Rice also called parboiled rice is partially pre-cooked in its inedible husk before being processed for eating. This process makes the husks easier to remove, even by hand.
This parboiling is an ancient technique however, with the modern high tech, the process has become much more sophisticated and is in practice to improve the texture, storage, and health benefits of rice.
In the parboiling process, the rice is soaked, steamed, and dried in its husk after harvest but before milling. The process turns the color of rice to light yellow/golden, rather than white.
Vitamin B content is higher in Sella Basmati Rice, in comparison to white rice. This is due to the parboiling process where some nutrients transfer from the bran into the starchy endosperm of the rice grain. Sella Basmati Rice is less prone to rancidity compared to brown rice and cooks into well-defined kernels rather than clumping.
Sulson Overseas is producing their own Sella and Golden Sella variants in their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. They are supplying these premium variants of Basmati Rice under its flagship brands, Banno and Samaa Basmati Rice in various packaging options for both domestic as well as commercial purposes.
